For the past decade, UK-based Small Batch Coffee Roasters has had a mission: caffeinate the world with really good coffee in a way that's fair to people and planet. That's why Operations Director Kristian Katin believes in always choosing quality over quick and cheap, and is dedicated to taking the utmost care in how Small Batch produces and sources every cup.

From the start, Small Batch has paid their farmers a good wage to incentivize community investment and business growth, and as the small business grows, Katin wants every employee to remain passionate and excited about what they do.

I'd like to look at our wastestreams and come up with a solution to this cup problem that is an issue in our industry. I think people want to change, but you have to give them the tools to do it.

Small Batch Coffee Roasters is at the forefront of sustainability. Operations Director Kristian Katin studies the business' waste stream to find solutions to the single-use cup problem that's prolific in the coffee industry. Thanks to that thinking, Small Batch decided to purchase reusables for to-go coffee and is proud to be a Klean Kanteen Co-Brand partner, helping customers break the disposable cup habit.

Klean is excited to share stories of inspiring local heroes from our global community who are reducing single-use waste and living Klean in a big way. We hope you’ll be as inspired as we are. #BringYourOwn
